Practical Cats award-winning original productions have been performed for over 200,000 people, in theatres and festivals on four continents. They include plays for adult audiences and for family audiences: theatre works and multi-genre pieces combining dance, music, film, puppetry, storytelling, mask, and theatre.
Combining humor with real events and magic realism, Practical Cats productions entertain and move audiences, while inviting them to wrestle with difficult questions and seek new solutions.
Education is part of the company’s mission. Practical Cats has brought performances, workshops and residencies to over 100 schools and universities nationwide, engaging students of all ages in the creative process.
Practical Cats, Inc. (incorporated in 1980) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) arts organization.
